PSPad is extremely portable. One out of approximately 1,000 reasons why I love it. Whatever you did to install it: Just go to
Settings -> Program settings -> System integration and disable "Multi user environment" (I think it's disabled by default, but just in case ...). Then close PSPad and copy the program folder to your thumb drive. That's it. In a non-multiuser environment, all settings are stored in various ini files in the PSPad folder, most notably PSPad.ini. PSPad can thus run completely self-contained from any kind of storage medium. But in a multi-user environment where you are allowed to install software (upon request, maybe), it makes sense to install PSPad for good and use the multi-user option. This means it writes the settings to your user profile, that's all. I am sure that if you talk to your teachers (admins, ... whoever is in charge of the computers) and give them a chance to review the wealth of possibilities PSPad gives, they will make it the university's instrument of choice, at least as a secondary tool. It's just great, and no strings attached. If you don't like it, dont't use it, it won't bother you or anyone else. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,34116,34117> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
