As a long-time Editpad Classic user (trying out PSPad), this feature is pretty annoying to me. I must have searched options about 5 times to figure out how to turn it off. It's just that it appears to me as if there is a bunch of whitespace selected...or not...I can't tell.
If the highlight only went to the end of the line, then I automatically would know exactly what is selected. Even for a blank line, if the newline character is highlighted, then I know that the line will be copied. Otherwise, it won't. This is what Editpad does. Even if you don't highlight newline characters, you can still tell whether a blank line is "selected" or not by where the cursor is (in comparison to what else is highlighted). This is what Notepad does. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,34002,34252> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
