I really thought I tried that too, yesterday, but obviously it seems to work. However, opening in the hexeditor is a workaround at best. If I switch, I don't expect the editor to change the data I have entered. WHY does it switch back to the normal editor when I save? Besides that, it's still not normal that half my text is removed when I switch from normal edit to text edit.
