I've tried several ways to integrate PSPad into my work flow. (1) First, I tried running both CuteFTP and PSPad separately. However, I found that I tended to not use PSPad because the integrated CuteFTP editor was just a click away and too easy to use (if not desireable).
(2) I tried changing CuteFTP so that rather than using the integrated editor, I had PSPad be the external editor. However, when I tried this, I lost the each document in a tab feature and the file did not actually save back to the appropriate server until I closed PSPad. (3) My latest is to open PSPad first, make inspection and editing of server files with PSPad, try to remember to be connected to appropriate server first before saving back to FTP to get file back to the right server. Then when ready to make backups of changed files, select CuteFTP link in the Favorites (heart tab), tools section (FileZilla would probaby work fine for this) to copy files from (or to) server domains. The 3rd attempt works best, but still seems awkward to use the editor first before the third-party FTP. Maybe just have to get used to the process. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,34859,34912> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
