Sometimes after editing a file for a while, the cursor icon (|) will display at a different location than the cursor. So I find myself typing text in a different location than I believe I am. It is sometimes very difficult to recover the correct location. Closing and opening the file or closing and opening the program work.
It doesn't appear to be related to open and close tag finding or syntax highlighting (plain .txt files). It may be related to Word Wrap. I do quite a bit of cut and paste, both internally and from external files. I also do quite a bit of find a replace.
