fabe: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've the same problems with chinese signs. But it only happens after some time. As somebody else found out, it's all the signs printed above each other. if you tipe in "echo h" in the dos command line, the h is perfect. If yout type in "echo ha" you can recognize the a above the h. I'm also curious to find a way to handle it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the insight Jacob... You're right, of course - when you look at the output closely, the lines with "chinese" characters correspond to lines containing text (in the actual output) while blank lines in the log window correspond exactly to blank lines in the output. Furthermore, selecting a portion (several lines) of "chinese" letters and doing a copy/paste into an editor window - pastes exact lines of output one would expect. So, without doubt, the "chinese" characters are, in fact, just regular letters over-printed - as you suggest. Funny... Unfortunately, on both of my machines it happens right from the start and all the time (perhaps because NSIS compiler dumps a lot of text into the log window).
