The tandem mainframe does not support file extensions. Therefore if a file extension exists on the file to be ftp'd back and forth, it will fail to work. The only way I have found around this is to take off the file extension in windows so that the file just shows as type file. All ftp clients out in the world now that deal with tandem mainframes allow for dropping of the extension. The tandem only allows a 8 character name with no extension. My suggestion or hope would be that pspad would give the option to not send the file with extension. In other words, a file labeld ftptest.txt would be sent without file extension as ftptest.
