If you've just started using PSPad, you are asking the same questions I was when I first found the product.
I love PSPad's editing capabilities, but the FTP limitations may drive you crazy. Bottom line as suggested in previous post, for more than a quick edit and save to remote, give up and also use an FTP product like Filezilla or CuteFTP (not version 8). Also, after you save a couple of files to remote with PSPad, if you are like me, you will still have to logon and separately use an FTP tool to make local backups of your changed file.
