pspad: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WebBrowser navigates back between pages - undoing browsing, editor allows you undo your edit operations --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I think "allowing to undo edit operations" in PSPad is comparable to Web browser "cleaning private data" (undoing in this case means erasing all the cookies you have received, with or without permission, and reverting to the original state) :-)) But, now seriously, it would be great to move between the lines of text you have visited (and clicked on) with 2 buttons. For example, you are reading a paragraph, and you want to re-read the content of the previous paragraph (because it contains a definition neccesary to fully understand the content of the actual paragraph). You didn't put a bookmark manually on the definition because you didn't think it was important, and you read it very fast... With a "back" button, you can go back quickly, remember the definition, and continue with a "forward" button. I suppose, storing a list with the line numbers (or <line number, column number>) in which you've clicked before could do the trick. Each time you click on the document, the (line number, column number) is saved on a queue. If you click on the "back" button, you go to the previous position you clicked before. If then you click on the "forward" button, you revert to the actual view of the document. To save memory, remembering only the latest 20 or so positions (clicks) should be enough.
