Thanks for your help. I have been trying out PSPad for a few days now, exploring the features and feeling overall pretty impressed by this software. There are so many useful features for a text editor/programmers file editor I was hoping to stay with it. However, I really cannot stick with it until the woeful search and replace function has been sorted out.
In fact, I'd have to say that PSPad sports the worst search and replace functions of any editor I've used. I do mean it is dire! Obviously this is extremely annoying as I know I've stumbled onto a potentially really good software...and it would be near impossible to beat if even the usual search and replace functions were available. I will wait now and keep an eye on PSPad and see if the S&R is fixed, and brought up to scratch. Without the ability to replace blocks of text quickly and line returns etc. it would not make sense to ditch my current software. Thanks, and I hope you get this sorted.
