Hi, I could not find a place for feature requests, so I'm putting this here. If there is a better place, please let me know.
The request: Add the ability to include an incrementing number in the Replace expression. One very simple example, to add line numbers: Search: ^ Replace: \i It would also be great if I could specify the increment and the starting number (start at 5 and increase by 5: 5,10,15,20, ...) ... but adding line numbers is just one possible use of this feature. I have used a similar feature in another editor to insert integers as a placeholder for Help ID's in huge XML files, numbering them from 8000 to 9000. I have looked at doing this with a macro, but I would have to change the macro for every different application. Having it in the Replace expression would be so much simpler Thanks, John B. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,38248,38248> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
