Yes, but it shouldn't matter. I'm not talking about the working directory of the PSPad process. The working directory of the PSPad process is PSPad implementation detail and is of no relevance to the user. What's important to the user is the directory of each of the documents in it.
When I type 'pspad newdoc.txt', I expect the file to be created in the directory in which I was, when entering this command. I believe that's the right behavior. How to implement it is a different matter. Sure I can suggest that the message being sent from the second PSPad process to the already-existing PSPad process should contain the full path of the file rather than just "newdoc.txt", but that's just an implementation detail. The behavior should simply be as described in the beginning of this paragraph.
