Sweet! I just discovered PSPad yesterday, while continuing my search for a Windows editor that I like anywhere NEAR as much as Quanta on linux. So far, PSPad is a winner, beating out others like HTML-Kit, and Dreamweaver. I slogged along running VMWare to pull up Quanta in a virtualized Linux install, but it's just not the same as a native install.
I was just commenting to someone this morning that if there was a linux version of PSPad, Quanta would have some serious competition. I'm very impressed with this app. It's not QUITE Quanta ... but it's certainly one of THE most capable editors I've used on Windows. (Dreamweaver is okay if you don't want to do much more than slog together some WYSIWYG stuff, but it's a PIG for hand coders like me, who just like an editor that throws in some time-saving features.) Maybe I'll give this a try under Wine later. Not sure what version is in the PCLOS repos right now, but Tex usually has them pretty current, especially on the new test releases of 2007. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,37476,38637> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
