I have tried your suggestion, removing other standard ansi characters from the
filename (so the file name only contain unicode characters). But the editor
still displays the unicode characters(filename) as question marks in the file
tab and file explorer. And therefore will not open/load the file properly.

I might have misunderstand what you have said. Please let me know if this is the
case and if there is anyway to open those files.

As a side note, SuperEdi can handle file with unicode filename, which proves
that it can be done. I just hope PSPad can have this ability too.
