oscar: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well. I think i was misunderstood. In the example, the "*" could have ben a "$" of a "7" or "wathever".
But im not trying to find any backspaces... but to 'input' them. So i can replace the test i want after i've input a 'backspace'. Anyway, with no luck tried as you recommended \\b, \\, etc. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BackSpace isn't a "char" in the text file. * means any count of previous expression . means any char Press F1 in the search dialog and read the help. There is chapter about regular expression with examples. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,7981,39238> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
