if i write a html page in ISO-8859-2 with header: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2">
i need to use special characters for diacritics: chr(177) -> ± for ą etc. the problem is, that menu format->ANSI/ISO is global for all opening files. so if i am editing an ANSI coded file and open file in ISO-8859-2 i can see 'signs' instead of letters. now if change format->ISO-8859-2 i still can see same 'signs' but if saved - they are converted and totaly unreadable. the only way to workaround is: - close file not saving it - change format->ISO-8859-2 for currenty open file - open file again - now it is opened with proper coding - do not forget to back to previous file and reverse back to ANSI to fix a bug pspad should: - recognize the line with 'charset' information if any - automaticly convert view of currently opened file or there should be an option to convert it on request. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,39295,39295> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
