I have a 22MB text file containing the dump file of an MS SQL table. I was hoping to change the sql syntax to that of Postgresql which requires that I replace all occurrences of [ and ] into spaces. Sadly, PSpad was very slow in opening the file and was very, very, very slow in replacing the said characters. There are times PSpad would crash. I tried the same file using Ultraedit. Ultraedit opened it smoothly and did the find and replace in a matter of less than 3 seconds. This is one of those situations wherein I am forced to use Ultraedit instead of PSpad otherwise it's PSpad all the way.
