When I want to replace multiple occurrences of a given text, I select the one I want to start with and supply the replacement text BUT the 1st occurrence that is found as a candidate for replacement is the next occurrence NOT the selected one.
It appears that the search starts just after the selected text not at the beginning of it. I just upgraded to V4.5.2 and I think in the prior version that I was using (V4.3.2) that I discovered that if I selected my search text with a right to left drag vs a left to right drag that I could get what I want BUT I am not sure ... anyway, in V4.5.2 both ways of selecting the text work the same. In order to get the 1st/selected occurrence of the text replaced, I have to let the Replace function continue from the top of the file and some times I really don't want to do that. Is this by design? Thanks. Dave -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,40186,40186> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
