I apologize for bringing this old topic to life again. I came accross it while searching to see if my own problem had been posted before, but after reading the OP's post I see this behavior still exists, and I too would like it to change.
I have the exact same problem with split view as the OP and which seems to have been completely overlooked by the author of the reply. What seems to be overlooked in the OP's post is that Split View does not move the splitter when the main window is resized. IOW, it does not dynamically adjust the position of the split to keep each pane at equal width. This can lead to the second pane becoming inaccessible when restoring the main window from maximized view, because the split has ended up out of view. As example of how the OP would want it to behave, he refers to the Text Diff window as example, which _does_ reposition the spliter when the main window is resized, and as a result the splitted views both shrink/grow as the window resizes. A wish which I fully support and add my vote for, please could you change this behavior of the regular split view? Keep both panes at equal width? Thank you very much. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,29000,40452> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
