pspad: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will add some project update function, but it wouldn't be "automatic". User have to call it if need it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, I will really appreciate this 'update' function from the project manager too. I'm becoming crazy with this one. I received lots of files from other peoples, lots of files/scripts/.. found on the internet (ie fck_editor, phpMyAdmin, phpMyVisit, ..) and I copy them in the project folder they are needed. The different possibilities to add them to the project I want is a nightmare. Opening each file and then add them to the project is not really efficient to my opinion. I tried the plugin "Project Refresh V2" but it simply close my psPad without any notice and no refresh is done. So this "update" feature will make me win hours of project managing. Another feature that will be nice (for me, at least) is the possibility to add a folder (and all its files and subfolders) in the current project and not only in a new project. Now you have to recreate the entire structure of this folder in the project manager and then ask to insert files from a folder for each folders. That's crazy! Let me show you by an example: I have plenty of folders (say 40) in my projects root folder and I only using around 20 now. I don't want to have 20 differents projects, closing one to open another one to remember something I did in this other project and then close the project and re-open the project I'm working on and oooh I forgot to see something else in the other project and .. aargghh. And the worst is that you loose each time all your working history (you know the ctrl + Z & ctrl + shift + Z shortcuts I use a lot) I would like to have one project with 20 folders in it that represent the 20 projects I'm working on, switching from one to another quickly. So, for my purpose, I create a project with the 40 projects folders and then I edited the project file to manually remove all the project I didn't need... and it took me lot of times. And more, I have projects on another hard disk, so I had to create a new big project and then edit this project file to copy all the datas I need and paste them in the main project file. So now it's ok, but it will be painfull each time I'll have to add a new project/folder in my project manager. So I really hope those features will be implemented. For sure, psPad will be at that time the best editor I know. Anyway, psPad is already a great editor. So thanks a lot mister pspad.
