MrSpock: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe you know already, but for viewing non-contiguous portions of a text, the Window -> Split window ... commands are very helpful. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, that helps, thank you. I'm new to PSPad, so I haven't had the time to familiarize myself with many features. The HIDE feature is something that I look for whenever I evaluate an editor, so I thought to bring it up as soon as I saw it didn't exist. Your suggestion notwithstanding, I've developed certain habits over several decades on mainframes, and one of them is to exclude (i.e. HIDE) lines that I'm not interested in at the moment. This doesn't have much relevance in normal text, of course, but If I'm concentrating on a piece of code, I find it useful to hide distracting lines. Sometimes, I would hide a block of lines (that I know is OK, for example) within the larger block on which I'm working. This is just the way I work, and I recognize that not everybody does things this way. Thanks. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,41799,41809> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
