The only way to do this right now
is to create an own "user highlighter" from scratch.
(or modify an existing highlighter:
choose an existing one,
add *.ini as file typ,
modify the highlighting)

Yes I understand that. The problem is (as I have written in post #4),
that I have no idea to tell the highlighter how to distinguish the keys vs. the
values. 
In other words, how to have the text before the = sign in a different color than
the text after the = sign?
