Scintilla is much more "programmer friendly" than SynEdit. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are right, it's big deal. I am deciding to release full version now and work on the "new" PSPad with new base. Scintilla is black box for me - DLL. I don't know, if scintilla is unicode - I don't think. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st let me say that I LOVE PSPad. I have been using it as my main editor for JSP, HTML, CSS etc. for at least a couple of years - so much that I made a donation a while back. Your efforts are very much appreciated! I don't know all the issues involved with building around a new editor component (I'm sure it is a HUGE job), and I'm not a "windowws application" programmer at all. But I do think Scintilla is fully Unicode enabled. "basic" Unicode for several years - latest release (1.74) now says "Unicode support extended to all Unicode characters not just the Basic Multilingual Plane". Even though PSPad is my main editor, I do like the Scintilla-based editor Notepad++ (it's the only other editor that i also use regularly).
