Hello, This is not a request, just a suggestion. I meet some troubles to edit Arabic sinice I've switched to Windows XP. This was an unexpected side effect. PSPad under Windows98 did display Arabic letters without linkage, what was nice for (easier to handle). But since I use Windows XP, Arabic letters are now linked, and the caret did not travel well inside Arabic text (the selection does not work better).
Indeed, corect handling of some complex script is not easy (thus the name "complex script"). There is a wonderful application in this area : this is called SC Unipad. It works as fine as every thing are supposed to go in paradise. This can be downloaded here : http://www.unipad.org/main/ (for people who care about writing or not in the registry, there a manual installation archive avalaible). One may use it when he/she meet troubles with PSPad on some text, and come back to the project manager of PSPad after some hard edition stuff has been done outside of PSPad, using SC UniPad. One thing that would be great if it would be possible (not a request at all, just a suggestion), would be to integrate SC UniPad in PSPad. Perhpas with OLE/DDE, or something like that... as a widget inside the editor... Do not know if it possible. Any where, remains the possibility to use both, PSPad for project management, and SC UniPad for some editing works. Have a nice days, and happy writing :) -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,43847,43847> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
