Hi all. I'd also love to get PSPad working on FTP with VMS - as I do practically all my work on VMS, and am not so keen on nedit.
I'm not sure how PSPad is handling the FTP connection, so it's hard to say - but it seems like it's not parsing the file data properly - so everything is ending up as the filename. e.g the files name, date, permissions etc are all getting concatanated onto the end of the filename - so that ftp requests are being made for filenames that don't exist on the VMS box. - plus the fact it's invariably longer than the 13 character working name limit that you mentioned on version 4.5.3(2282). Not sure if that's right - but it does make sense with nothing else to go on, for example when you try to rename a file, it gives you a great long character stream inc. date, permissions etc. If I can do anything to help code wise, especially as I work a lot on VMS (I'm no expert, VMS is a bit off beat, but I do work with it every day - and that could help), then let me know.
