I have to agree with the OP. Loading large files in PSPad is terribly slow compared to the competition (ie UltraEdit).
The way UltraEdit does it is that it loads only a section of the large file. That way a file as large as 300MB file is loaded immediately! But when you edit it, it modifies the ACTUAL file, not a backup or in memory representation of the file...there is no backup file made. At least that is how it works with my setup of UltraEdit. Can PSPad be modified to work in the same manner? If you don't think you can do it, or you don't have the time, is there anyway that I can have access to the source code so that I can implement it?
