On 8/8 2006 (http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,38799,38799#msg-38799) I reported a bug that search just doesn't find everything and since this bug is still there I thought it is time to post it again.
Because it is so remarkably easy to reproduce one of the great mistery's of the universe to me is why so little people mention this. However, it seems to be the same bug as mentioned here: http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,43833,43838#msg-43838 and http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,44062,44062#msg-44062 and here: http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,34258,34299#msg-34299 and here: http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,39181,39190#msg-39190 Steps to reproduce: Start PSpad (any version, including the latest from the forum), paste THIS text in the automatically created new window, search for TEST with case sensitive and whole words on: found. Try again with case sensitive and whole words of: found. Try again with case sensite and whole words on: Not found! I did some research and as far as I know pspad uses the synedit component. I wonder if it has something to do with this bug in synedit: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1763760&group_id=3221&a tid=103221 Anyway, it really has to be fixed soon otherwise I am forced to change to Ultraedit. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,44734,44734> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
