If by setting the file type to 4GL, you mean go to 'Settings', 'Highlighter Settings', check the bold file type "Progress", and then make sure the settings under the "Specification" tab are correct, including the *.p extension and the file type in the drop-down, then yes. If you mean something else by 'set the file type', then no I didn't. It wasn't an obvious thing to remember. Here's what I did: I restarted WinXP, opened PSPad again, went back through the "Settings" process above. This resolved the issue. Thanks so much for your "obvious" suggestion.
