jbwalker: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, I'm certain this is a consistent pattern now.
Problem: program crashes/creates an exception consistently after several minutes of editing text with *long *word-wrapped lines. Exception occurs on entry of a character or on "save". For me this occurs so often when I am editing HTML, that I'm to the point where I am now (reluctantly, as I depend on PSPad) looking for another HTML editor until PSPad gets past this. Will continue to use with PHP etc as there are no problems there, even though some lines are word-wrapped. Implications: program often corrupted after crash and needs re-install. Most common problem here is that highlighting goes crazy. Versions: First noticed problem with 4.5.3/2298 (present "stable" version); problem continues with 4.5.4 builds 2315,2317,2319. Repeat my support for this great program. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Easy sample file for generating the crash: Load Firefox's _sessionstore.js_ file (10+kb easily, all formatted as one line) in PSPad. In my case, I tried scrolling about halfway through the file as PSPad was wrapping the lines, at one line I tried to break it up by adding a CRLF and that's about where PSPad crashed. No harmful side effects to PSPad in my case. On a different note, I know there is a tool for reformatting CSS code into properly indented, easily readable blocks -- is there something similar that can be used on Javascript or other code types? -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,45162,46673> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
