When I load a 18 MB XML file PSPad will use 100% CPU during loading (which is acceptable) but will not stop using 100%, even if it just sits there in the background. I would be really nice if I could use PSPad for large XML files as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With big files, I have the experiance, that they still need a lot time (like with the previous editor component) to load. The way, to enable scrolling over EOL and EOF can improve this speed like it was suggested earlier. I thought, that this changed when you switched back to the old component, but seems not. If I try to open a 20MB logfile (so not syntax, just simple text), it takes about 8-10 seconds (with other editor it is 1-2 sec). I updated to the latest betas, but I did not feel big improvement in this question in the last two version... What could be the problem?
