What I am trying to say is the following: PSPad sends the command _CWD /_ at the beginning. Which puts you in the *_start directory_*. Not the root directory. The root directory is the directory from which you cannot go up. The start directory is the directory in which you are placed when you call _CWD /_. The root directory does _not_ need to be the same as the start directory.
Now, what PSPad does is expect to be placed in the _root directory_ instead of the start directory. Thus I cannot move up a directory from the start directory when I connect to an FTP server in which the start directory is not the same as the root directory. So, on connecting the filelisting I get is the following: http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pspadbeforers9.png On changing to a directory and then back to the start directory, PSPad recognizes correctly that it is not the root directory and allows me to move up again. Seen here: http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pspadafteris5.png I don't think I can explain it any more clearly than that... so please tell me that you understood me now. :\ -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,46532,48293> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
