Thank you for considering it. Sorry, let me elaborate a little more. It's more of a usability feature. When editing code, you don't want your screen to be cluttered with useless menus. This is to be able to see more code, and also it can be somewhat distracting. Hopefully somebody will think this is useful too :)
Also, on an unrelated note. Before I request it, I was wondering if there is something to open files according to a regular expression. I don't know if you've used textmate or eclipse, but you can open a dialog that will search a folder according to a regular expression.
