carbonize: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personally I say just put the cursor at the end of the file and open replace (Ctrl + H).
Turn on regex and use " " for the item to replace. Just put in how ever many spaces you want turned into a tab. Then in the Replace with box put "\t" amd finally tell it to replace backwards. Why yo uneeded an automated function for something thats so simple to do I don't know. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the same reason I use the TABS > SPACES function presently available in PSPad; it is easier and quicker. I find it rather amazing that something so obvious, completely eluded you. :-O -- Jerry -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,49026,49049> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
