As far as i know, there is only a simplified version of this feature for selecting a block on word boundaries in PSPad. If you select a word by double-clicking in it, then press and hold SHIFT and click into another word, the block between the two words is selected (including the whole "boundary words"). Howewer a further mouse or cursor movement restores the usual selection on characters.
