I have only a loose idea of SQL, but I had the impression, this kind of converting (SQL - txt ... SQL ...) should not be necessary, as the database columns are more easily manipulated within SQL than as text. Anyway, PSPad does support scripting (since version 4.3.3), check the helpfile (Customize PSPad :: Script), there are some user contributed scripts at http://www.pspad.com/en/pspad-extensions.php or you can check a small sample I posted earlier http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,48923,48931#msg-48931 which was basically a series of replacements and other editor actions on the given text. (this way you can use multiline search and replace too)
The features of scripting are being added incrementally, there are significant enhancements since the first version. vbr -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,49866,49873> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
