Yes, it's not a problem to write a batch, and actually that's what I've done, but it just seemed odd that this works fine using the Project compiler, but not the General compiler. For the other part with the expansion, I like using SPACE to expand better than CTRL+SPACE because it seems faster to me, it's just something I noticed using another editor which had SPACE by default for expansion, it wasn't expanding inside comments, I tought it would be nice to have it in PSpad as well, just an idea.
