Having a closing icon appearing on the tab. It could behave like IE and only appear on the active tab or behave like Firefox and appear on all tabs.
This feature has become a "standard" on tab-based applications including text editors, and that when I go back to use PSPad I go to close a tab looking for the close icon on the tab but it is not there.
