Apparently I did something wrong - I tried changing various options and here is what I got now.
Re-associated all file types (except .txt) Checked "Only one program instance" Restart pspad and explorer. Now I can double click and open files associated with pspad from explorer. I have to run explorer as admin too. PSPad items are showing in context menu when right clicking on file in explorer. "Open with" and "send to" works. If opening a txt file in by double clicking in the project tree notepad will open the file unless I check "Open txt file" option. Drag and drop from explorer does not work. Right clicking file tab or file name in project tree and selecting "system context menu" does not work properly. Still no new windows 7 options.
