The script does create a temporary file ok, but I copied the functions without that functionality, as I'd probably never use it. The comparison works fine.
I also had to put a full path to cscript.exe in the packer function. Things just don't seem to work right with things on a partition other than the one Windows is on. I have used some online "de-compressors" to view the code in minimized jQuery extensions, for instance, but I never thought about automating the beautification process.
