Hi, When editing code, many times I wish to look at other parts of the file (to confirm something, to look for some info on functions or variables, etc.) then return to the original location and continue editing. Unfortunately, when I scroll up or down using PgUp and PgDn the cursor is moved from its original location. Would it be possible to have commands to scroll up/down using the keyboard, without moving the cursor? This would be the same action as scrolling by the mouse using the scrollbar (that does not move the cursor). The commands could be bound e.g. to Alt+PgUp and Alt+PgDn for convenience.
A related problem is that the default location for the 'go to line' (Ctrl+G) command is the last value used. The current location of the cursor is also shown in the dialog box, but you have to click it to copy it to the line number field. (BTW nothing indicates that this number is an active GUI element that you can click, I just found this out by accident.) I would like to have an option which would put the location of the current cursor position in the line number field as default when the dialog box is opened. You may say that after all what I want to do is already possible and it is true. However, it requires that I use the mouse twice (for scrolling around and for copying the location of the cursor). I want to use the mouse as little as possible because moving my hand away from the keyboard breaks the flow of editing. It would be much easier to do it by scrolling up/down with Alt+PgUp and Alt+PgDn, then go back to the cursor by typing Ctrl+G and hitting Enter. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,52428,52428> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
