Hi, I had already unchecked Autoindent mode: this looks not to influence the particular behaviour I described. The thing which is strange to me is that it happens without any clear rule. A command (like Ctrl-BackSpace) to suppress spaces from the cursor to the beginning of next non-space character would be very nice. I tried to implement it with a macro, but I had no success so far. Indeed, the sequence of key-strokes "F8, Ctrl-RightArrow, F8, Delete" turns out to be recorded in the macro just as "ecDeleteChar".
