Hi—one other request: It's very helpful to have PSPad automatically create a new file on each run. However, when you then open an existing file, the new (empty) file remains.
I think you can assume that most of the time, when a user opens an existing file, the new empty file is no longer necessary. That's why most other editors automatically close the automatically-created empty file when another file is opened. At least, every other text editor I've used did this.
