I have input Japanese into a HTML page paragraph. The problem is when I go to preview the Japanese characters in the internal browser the Japanese is not shown, just odd symbols. I searched the forum for this problem and found discussion about it from more than a year ago, nothing recent. Strangely there were few replies and still no real answers. Everyone understood to format UTF-8 page code, and see it in the status bar, and to have Japanese enabled Windows, so this was not the problem. I could find no final solution in the forum. I wonder what these poor people did? I returned to the problem myself. I found it was the HTML page coding; It should read; <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> Once I made this correction I could see the actual Japanese characters in the browser. I hope this is the answer to the problem. I have recorded this as a new topic in case anyone has the same issue.
