That would be a bit of a weird thing for a text editor to do. Pretty non-standard.
What you might be able to do is create a regular expression search and replace that removes all non-text characters. Then save it as a macro so you can run it any time. I was going to mess with a regex in case you don't know how to do that, but, when I open a "binary file" (it was an OpenOffice .odt file), it goes into Hex Mode and I don't see how to switch to text mode. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,54381,54434> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
