jabby: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JPG: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi I think you can just select the relevant EOL format from the format menu and then save the file. So just change to the Unix EOL and save. Jon --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the reply. I tried the UNIX thing. I even gave the MAC a shot. All to no avail. Maybe somebody has some more ideas. Oh well. John -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, if I create a text file containing cite: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 2 3-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and save it in the three line-ending formats, I get the following hexa values: cite: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dos 310D0A320D0A33 unix 310A320A33 mac 310D320D33-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe, this is the expected behaviour, are you trying to achieve something else? One limitation is, PSPad cannot handle a file with different line endings at the same time, these are somehow unified on opening, but I guess, this would only happen with already corrupt files anyway. hth, vbr -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,54540,54545> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
