PSPad version: 4.5.5 (2417) (also saw it in 2405) OS: Win7 64, Enterprise I've got an issue loading text files into PSPad. In particular they are pipe redirects of windows commands into text files. It seems windows is outputting unicode, but no matter what I do, I can't get PSPad to recognize the file as a text file. It always opens it up in the Hex Editor (I've bypassed this by changing AutoDetectBinary to 0).
I've tried every setting of the "default CP for files opening", and none of them work either. Of course if when I open the file up (using AutoDetectBinary disabled), I see the text, but also see all the null values as whitespace. Note: Plain vanilla 'notepad' reads them just fine. I feel I'm missing something obvious here, but just not sure what it is. I've put up with it for some time, as PSPad is a fantastic program, but it really got to bugging me today. Appreciate your thoughts. Dave P.S. Values I'm seeing are: Text: 'Service' Hex: '5300-0000-6500-0000-7200-0000-7600-0000-6900-0000-6300-0000-6500'.
