If you are connected, but you don't see content of the folder, there can be problem with your "exotic" FTP server.
Go to FTP connection settings and set: [x] Compatible mode [x] Passive Mode [ ] Show hidden files Save and try reconect to your FTP server. If no content will shown, connect, display FTP log window (Ctrl+L) and press LIST button in the Log window.
