PSPad 4.5.7 under Win 8 I go to Settings, Program Settings, System Integration, and check Open TXT Files, then click Apply. I go to my File Manager, double click a TXT file, and PSPad does not open it. Notepad opens it.
Likewise, when I go to Settings, Program Settings, Registered File Types, add "txt", and click Apply or OK, and go to File Manager and double click a TXT file, PSPad does not open the TXT file, Notepad does. I upgraded to PSPad 4.5.8 (2485) and I still have the problem. Oops, on Registered File Types settings, looks like I have to click "Register all". Now it works.
