OK. Now you say the important information what was missed again as usually - you set autosave interval. It means PSpad saves your file automatically each time acording to interval. PSPad can't write into file if this file is open in CALC. CALC locks this file for itself and prevent other program to write into file. Do you understand it? Your other editor has no autosave possibility or you don't activate it. If you will switch autosave off in PSPad, you wont see any warning messages too.
In case PSPad won't show you information that file wasn't saved (even you set autosave interval) it would be worse. User will think the file was saved, but it wasn't cause other program (CALC) block access to this file. So what do you offer? What is your advice? -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,63350,63361> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
