It seems it has to do with some old files in my pspad install. I extraced the zip file in a separate directory, and now all goes fine.
What is the best method to install the latest beta? Remove everything, and work from this (limited) unzipped directory, or install the latest stable version, and overwrite the directory with the zip-contents?
